Today Fox got dressed by himself for the first time completly. He has been good at getting naked for a long time now, and he has been able to get partially dressed.  Today, however, I put him in the loft for his nap and told him to take off his dirty downstairs clothes. He did and then when I came up to on his pj's for his nap he had already done so.  They were inside out and backwards but he did it! So proud! He also has been talking more in clear sentences.  Like, "Move over!"  I get that one when I'm sitting where he wants to sit.  So funny.  Or the other day we were at the church for an activity and I dropped something while I was holding him.  As I bent over to pick it up I said, 'Darn it!" Right away Fox copied me and repeated it clearly.  Our friend Teri Kanahele yelled, "I heard that!" from the other room.  So funny. He is learning to be polite too, don't get me wrong.  It's all about "Excuse me" "May I please" "Thank you" and "I'm sorry".  We are very big on those things.  He is quick to say, "Sorry" when he has hurt someone and sometimes when we tell Joie to says it he says it instead. Could kids be cuter?

Well, first of the why's is why haven't I updated this blog in so long. Well, we have had alot going on with family visiting this summer and job changes, time has been a difficult thing to find.  We have had the Sheldon side, including Jamie and Travis visit, as well as Nana Cassell and Uncles Michael and Grant and BehindSapphire the band with friends.  Fox has been through alot. He went south with his Daddy for a lil over two weeks without his Mommy or Joie.  It was the first time the kids have been apart and the first time Fox and I had been apart for long.  Fox did well and when he came back he had alot of people visit him here.  He really loved being with his cousin Travis. He'd call his name in a funny deep throaty way. You'd have to hear it. 

Through all the excitement of the summer he has grown physically as well as mentally. He is talking clearly and alot.  He is useing sentences and very good communication.  The other day he asked "Why?"  How profound for a boy who isn't even two years old.  Nnow he asks "why?" all the time. "Why no milk?"  "Why Joie?"  I'm so proud of him.  With his big sisters help as well he knows his numbers to 10 and he knows his letters and their sounds.  Alot of amazing accomplishments this summer. 

When BehindSapphire was here they would be preforming and Fox would walk on stage right into the group and start shaking a maraca.  We all learned he has great rhythm and can keep a beat as well as keep time.  Steve, the drummer, let Fox use his drum and then Steve and Matt would drum and play guitar to his maraca beat.  We are so proud of our lil man. He is growing up so fast.

Fox has started to really like babies. Taking care of them, feeding, cuddling, dressing, everything!  He spots dolls and real babies alot lately and wants to be with them.  I know he is at that age now and when Joie was at that age I got pregnant with Fox. I'd love to do that now but we really aren't ready for that. He'll have to make due with dolls and other people's babies.  Zach has a cabbage Patch doll from when he was lil that we dug out and cleaned up. His name is Jake. Joie calls him Jake short for Jacob and calls him Jacob but fox still calls him Jake and loves him alot. Now Fox has a babie of his own!
